This two-part sealant effectively prevents corrosion on aluminum alloys and dissimilar metals. It maintains elastomeric properties after exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas. Curing at room temperature, it forms a resilient bond with common aircraft substrates, making it suitable for various aviation applications. This two-part sealant effectively prevents corrosion on aluminum

Overview
P/S 870 Class A is a corrosion inhibitive sealant. This material acts as an effective barrier against the common causes of corrosion on aluminum alloys or between dissimilar metals. The cured sealant maintains elastomeric properties after limited exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gas. P/S 870 Class A is a two-part, manganese dioxide cure polysulfide compound. It cures at room temperatures to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.
Features & Benefits
Low temperature flexibility at -65°F (-54°C) with no cracking, checking, or loss of adhesion
Resistance to hydrocarbons for enhanced durability
Flexibility with no cracks after bending 180 degrees over a 0.125 inch (3.18 mm) mandrel
Repairable to itself, excellent for both freshly cured and fuel-aged fillets
Salt spray (fog) test for 670 hrs. (ASTM B117) shows no corrosion to base substrate or deterioration of sealant
Fungus resistant and non-nutrient
