Overview

PG310AGGEL5LB PolyGone® 310-AG Gel is a high-performance aviation-grade sealant remover formulated to penetrate, break down, and emulsify cured polysulfide and other sealants. Polysulfide sealants are commonly used in integral fuel tanks, windows, fairings, and antenna domes, making PolyGone 310-AG Gel essential for maintenance and repair operations. Its gel consistency allows precise application on vertical and inverted surfaces or for spot removal without dripping. The product works effectively at room temperature (68°F–80°F) and can be enhanced with heat up to 120°F or gentle agitation, including ultrasonic cleaning, to accelerate performance. Once the sealant is broken down, PolyGone suspends the residue to prevent re-deposition and enable easy rinsing. It is water-soluble and biodegradable, with low inherent toxicity and no halogenated or EPA-regulated components, making it environmentally responsible. For best results, rinse with mild cleaners such as eOx® followed by pure water, or use compatible solvents like IPA or acetone when water is not preferred. PolyGone 310-AG Gel is metal-friendly and safe for aluminum, titanium, copper, and steel, but should not be used on PVC, polyvinyl alcohol, or certain elastomers. Recommended plastics for application and storage include polypropylene, polyethylene, Teflon, and butyl rubber. Store in a cool, dry environment between 50°F–80°F to maintain its 1-year shelf life.
