Overview
The M1B is a versatile and reliable test tool with low maintenance requirements. It provides accurate, stable values and will only display a reading when proper electrical continuity criteria are met, eliminating erroneous results. Fully automatic and self-ranging, the meter requires no manual calibration, zeroing, or scale changes. It utilizes the four-wire or Kelvin probe method to ensure accuracy by isolating voltage measurement from lead resistance. The M1B Meter features a green display with a greater maximum display resolution of 0.001 milliohms and adjustable brightness for optimal readability in varying light conditions. It can store up to 128 readings in internal memory, which can be recalled or downloaded via an RS-232 data port. Certified as intrinsically safe by Underwriters Laboratories (UL 913 standard), the M1B is approved for use in Class I, II, and III, Division I hazardous locations, such as around aircraft, fuel installations, and gas systems. It uses a rechargeable 6C cell battery pack with features designed to extend battery life. The kit includes:
