FloFlex? heat-sealed (welded) layflat PCA ducting is designed for the demanding positive pressure applications of the airline industry The fabric?s unique construction provides flexibility and high resistance to external abrasion FloFlex?s? spiral construction features heavy-duty, military specification wearstrip that provides protection for the entire duct As a result, FloFlex? experiences reduced fatigue and a longer service life An extended inner liner and elastic seals at connection points minimize air loss FloFlex? has excellent UV stabilization for rigorous outdoor use, mold and mildew inhibitors, and meets NFPA-701 (Method 2) standards
OUTER SHELL The outer shell is comprised of VentaTex? 20XHDMW 3-ply, 20 oz /yd ? (678 g/m?) high strength PVC fabric and black wearstrip that meets military specification. To improve abrasion resistance, 9 mm of high density molecular weight PVC is added to the external wear surface Manufactured by ABC Industries, Inc , the custom laminate is produced by compressing high strength, multi-denier, uni-directional RipStop polyester yarns between PVC films. The finished material thickness is 029 inches ( 737 mm)
INSULATION LAYER The middle layer consists of stitch-bonded polyester insulation similar to the high performance material found in cold weather clothing and camping products
INNER LINER The inner sleeve is made of VentaTex? 11-1812 high strength material, an 11 oz /yd ? (373 g/m?), 3-ply engineered PVC fabric manufactured by ABC Industries, Inc VentaTex? 11-1812 is specially designed to eliminate delamination commonly found in competitive products.
End Finishes VELCRO? CUFF The Velcro? cuff features exterior flaps that wrap around the ducting connection point and secure with hook and loop to the female end. The improved design offers GSE professionals easier access and fastening ability at connection points.
