Overview
This coating can be applied via immersion (dip), spray, brush, or swab methods, with darker coatings offering the greatest corrosion protection. Iridite 14-2 can be used as a final finish or dyed various colors and serves as a base for paints, high-performance top coats, lacquers, or rubber bonding. The operating range is flexible, allowing adjustments in concentration to accommodate variations in immersion time, desired corrosion protection (film thickness), and the alloy being treated.
Features & Benefits
Minimal effect on electrical characteristics of aluminum for high or low frequency work when used at lower concentrations
Protects abraded anodized surfaces and provides electrical contact to those surfaces
Coated aluminum surface can be welded by shielded arc method or spot welding
Self-regulating bath activators for maximum uniformity of results and ease of control
