3M™ polyurethane protective tape 8658DL is a rugged, 9 mil flame-retardant polyurethane protective tape comprised of a polyurethane elastomer, a rubber based adhesive and two liners. The bottom 3 mil polyethylene liner protects the adhesive from contamination prior to application. The top liner is imprinted with black lines at 4 in intervals aids in precise installation. The tape itself is conformable, enabling it to be applied over curved or uneven surfaces and yield professional results. 3M™ polyurethane protective tape 8658DL is resistant to abrasion, erosion, scratching, punctures and impacts. This product is clear to facilitate final validation of proper screw and sealant installation. Polyurethane protective tape 8658DL contains no added VOC's. It is qualified to leading OEM specifications for moisture barrier and also meets FAR 25.853 for aircraft interiors.
