Overview
The IDG 761574B is installed on the engine accessory gearbox and converts variable engine speed into a constant output speed of 24,000 rpm, enabling the generator to deliver 90 kVA at 400 Hz. Each aircraft uses two IDGs for its AC electrical power channels. The unit integrates a hydraulic pump and motor, charge/scavenge pump, inversion pump, rotating deaerator, mechanical governor, and differential. This design ensures reliable power generation under varying engine conditions.
