Overview

Bonderite® M-CR 1001 Aero, also known as Alodine 1001, is a 1-part, hexavalent chromium-based conversion coating chemical designed for aluminum and its alloys. Part number 594693 produces a clear, invisible coating that becomes an integral part of the aluminum surface, offering excellent corrosion protection and serving as an ideal substrate for paint. It is especially suited for applications where the silver-white finish of aluminum must be retained, either unpainted or with a clear topcoat. The product is listed on QPL for MIL-DTL-81706B, Type 1, Class 3, Form I, and is compatible with MIL-DTL-5541 processes. Application methods include spray and immersion, with short treatment times and ambient temperature operation.
