Overview
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ 1751 Series structural epoxy adhesive is specially formulated to ensure excellent adhesion performance. The amber colored part-A paste of epoxy adhesive has amine odor and 0.95 specific gravity. Gray colored part-B paste of epoxy adhesive has little odor and 1.3 specific gravity. It has a boiling point greater than or equal to 260 degrees C for part-A and greater than or equal to 164 degrees C for part-B. The adhesive has a flash point greater than or equal to 500 degrees F for part-A and 201 degrees F for part-B. It has a density of 0.95 grams per milliliter for part-A and 1.3 grams per milliliter for part-B. This product has a viscosity of 100,000 to 400,000 centipoises for part-A and 100,000 centipoises for part-B. It has a storage temperature rating of 60 to 80 degrees F. The adhesive requires a curing time of 7 days at 24 degrees C, 2 hours at 67 degrees C and 30 minutes at 93 degrees C. It requires an application time of 45 minutes. This product has a peeling strength of 4 piw at 75 degrees F for aluminum and a shear strength of 2000 psi at 75 degrees F for aluminum FPL etch. The adhesive comes in a 1-pint kit and offers an area of coverage up to 320 square feet per gallon.
