3M Radome Boots are not FAA Approved in the normal sense. In 1991, the FAA classified the installation of 3M Radome Boots as a Minor Repair, similar to applying a thick coat of paint. As a result, FAA 8130's are not available for this product.

3M™ Polyurethane Protective Boots SJ8665 are pre-formed and used extensively in private, commercial and military aircraft to fit the complex curvatures of a variety of applications.
