Description
Purging fluid is formulated for use in cleansing and preserving the fuel tanks of jet aircraft before hangaring and conducting maintenance operations or lengthy storage. During fuel system maintenance, it is important to ensure all residual jet fuel, vapors, and water from the system are removed to reduce the potential of fire and ventilation dangers. Fuel tank purging is done in conjunction with defueling and depuddling. Purging fluid is used to help ensure the fuel tanks are completely evacuated of fuel and do not suffer negative effects of being in contact with air.
