A3-06-3168 Artex Emergency Locator Transmitter 4000S is a portable Survival Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) designed for aviation safety. It transmits on 121.5 and 406 MHz and features a lithium-free, alkaline battery that eliminates the need for TSO C142 and DO-227 approvals, saving on hazardous material shipping costs. The ELT is buoyant and automatically activates when in water, with a manual switch for land use.
ELT 4000S includes an internal GPS (GNSS) that acquires position data for 406 MHz transmissions. A 15-foot lanyard allows attachment to life rafts, and the foldable antenna can be deployed with one hand.

Artex ELT 4000S offers flexible mounting with a TSO-approved system and a user-replaceable battery. This setup reduces maintenance costs and provides versatile installation options for aircraft operators.
