G.E.® Vane Bushing 5115T67P04

5115T67P04 bushing, vane is a part of a high-pressure compressor which serves to regulate the airflow inside the compressor. The bushing aids in reducing vibration and wear while also acting as a seal between the vane and the shaft. To regulate the airflow into the compressor, variable stator vanes are used. Typically, they are found in the front of the compressor, where the air pressure is low. 5115T67P04 being a cylindrical sleeve it fits over the shaft of a variable stator vane. The airflow angle can be altered by rotating the vanes, which also alters how much air is introduced into the compressor. This makes it possible to use the engine more effectively at various speeds and altitudes.
