Artex 455-5037 is C406-2 model ELT system with blade antenna (Part Number 110-337) and install kits - 455-7421 and 455-9701. The Artex C406-2 transmits on all 3 emergency frequencies (121.5/243.0 and 406 MHz.). The ELT automatically activates during a crash and transmits the standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz. It also transmits a 406 MHz encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system, which allows for rapid identification and reduces Search and Rescue response time. ARTEX ELTs are the choice of commercial aircraft including Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer and business Jets including Cessna, Beechcraft, Quest, Gulfstream and Embraer.
