3M™ vibration damping tape 436 is a 17.5 mil thick, silver, dead soft aluminum foil tape. It is designed to reduce noise and absorb and dissipate vibration, primarily by reducing structure borne noise in metal and composite panels and support structures. It can achieve effective damping with as little as 10% surface coverage. This tape is durable. It will resist moisture, weather, UV degradation and flame. It is a long aging, chemical-resistant tape that offers good performance over a wide range of temperatures, particularly lower temperatures. It will perform in temperatures as low as 76 deg F. The linered construction provides the ability to die-cut this product.
