AeroControlex Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) Feedback Control Cable

This flexible push/pull Variable Bleed Valve (VBV) feedback control cable assembly consisting of an armored wrapped stranded wire core residing in a Teflon-lined reinforced wire casing construction is positioned on the engine to provide the Main Engine Control (MEC) with a current position of the VBV position to compare with the desired position. This is achieved by mechanically transmitting the motion (push or pull) from the feedback lever attached to the master bleed door bellcrank linkage to the MEC.

The VBV system is used to maintain compressor pressure for optimal performance of the engine during changes between high and low pressure spool speeds in order to prevent stall of the engine. This maintenance-free feedback cable is equipped with two seal assemblies that prevent foreign matter from entering the inside of the cable assembly which aid in maintaining optimal cable performance over its life.
