The shroud acts as a structural support connecting from one stage bucket to another for vibration damping and help contain the flow of high-pressure gas so that the gas is utilized efficiently. The high-pressure turbine shroud encloses the blade tip thus preventing excessive leakage of high-pressure gas, reduces blade-flutter improving the efficiency and performance of turbine.
