The high-pressure turbine nozzle known as “Stationary nozzle” are strategically aligned to help shape and control the flow of gas before they enter the turbine rotor. After the expansion of gases in stage 1, the gases are directed onto the second stage through a set of stationary vanes that is present in the turbine nozzle. The nozzle helps to direct the flow of combusted hot gases from the previous stage to the turbine blades, and also acts as a control valve for the engine. In the travel of hot and high-pressure gases through the 2nd stage nozzle, gases expand with a change in their acceleration, pressure and temperature, thus optimizing the flow that is required to drive the turbine blades efficiently.
Part number 2080M12G05 has been designed specifically that achieves an optimum flow control, dissipating excess heat, ensuring the turbine achieves optimum operation conditions and efficiency. Made of super alloys, the material gives the part its resistance to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
