Private Pilot Logbook With Basic Med Tracking

 

Updated in 2017, this new Private Pilot Logbook includes a new page for BasicMed tracking per 14 CFR Part 61.113(i).  The main events that need to occur for BasicMed eligibility are:

 

     1.  Medical exams every 48 months

 
     2.   FAA approved medical education course every 24 months FAA AC 68-1 FAQ
           section outlines the following documentation guidance.
 
 
BasicMed documentation requirements include:  Keeping a copy of your Comprehensive Medical Examination Checklist and your medical education course completion certificate. You can store these in your logbook, or you can store them electronically in any format, as long as you can produce an accurate representation of these documents at the request of the FAA.  You don ’ t have to carry these documents while flying under BasicMed.
