3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP420 Series structural epoxy adhesive is a two-part room temperature curable epoxy that offers high peel and shear strength. This adhesive consists of base and accelerator, which is mixed in 2:1 ratio for better results. It has a flash point greater than or equal to 340 degrees F for part-A and 480 degrees F for part-B. The epoxy compound has a density of 1.12 grams per milliliter for part-A and 1.14 grams per milliliter for part-B. It has a viscosity of 8000 to 14,000 centipoises for part-A and 20,000 to 50,000 centipoises for part-B. This product takes a curing time of 24 hours with a storage temperature rating of 60 to 80 degrees F. It should be applied on surface within 20 minutes from mixing to ensure better positioning and adjustment prior to setting. The adhesive offers excellent resistance to heat, chemical, high-temperature, solvents and outdoor weather. This product comes in a 200-milliliter cartridge and has shear strength of 4500 psi. The liquid adhesive contains a very mild pungent odor part-A in amber and a very mild part-B in white.
