Aircraft Joints

Several types of aircraft joints exist, including riveted joints, bolted joints, and adhesive joints. The most common type is a riveted joint because they’re reliable, have a long life, and are easy to inspect and maintain. Bolted joints are effective in joining large-scale structures like the aircraft’s wings or body. However, they can cause corrosion and add weight to the aircraft. Adhesive joints are the weakest but most common type of joint. They’re easy to manufacture, are lightweight, and resistant to corrosion.
