TECTYL™ 891D corrosion preventive compound, identified by part number TECTYL891DQT, is a black asphaltic formulation designed to provide long-term protection for metallic surfaces in indoor or outdoor exposure and during international shipments. It meets Military Specifications MIL-PRF-16173E, Grade 1 Class I, and MIL-P-116J, Type P-1. TECTYL 891D cures to a firm, durable film and can be applied by spray or dip. Recommended storage and application temperature is 50–95°F (10–35°C).
