When deployed and in the water, the raft may be boarded on either side. The VIP and SAM Series life rafts have auto self-erecting canopies, which have two doors which can be sealed closed with hook and loop fastener. Also, the VIP and SAM Series canopies are affixed to the life raft with hook and loop fastener so if needed the canopy can be removed and reinstalled.
