Overview

The cured sealant provides excellent electrical conductivity and EMI/RFI shielding effectiveness. This material acts as an effective barrier against common causes of corrosion on aluminum alloys and between dissimilar metals. The cured sealant is resistant to exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gas. The uncured material is a low sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. This sealant has excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates when correctly primed with PR-182 Adhesion Promoter. The B-1 classification indicates an application life of 1 hour. It has a service temperature range from -67°F (-55°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 360°F (182°C). The storage life of PR-2200 Class B in a Semkit package is at least 9 months when stored at temperatures below 80°F (27°C) in original, unopened containers.

Features & Benefits

  • Corrosion resistance with no significant change in conductivity after 2000 hours of salt spray exposure
  • Low temperature brittleness at -65°F (-54°C) with no cracking or fractures
