This two-part, nickel-filled sealant offers rapid curing and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for aluminum alloys and dissimilar metals. It provides electrical conductivity and EMI/RFI shielding, while resisting jet fuel and aviation gas exposure. The thixotropic paste can be applied easily and adheres well to aircraft substrates with proper priming.
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including CARBON BLACK (AIRBORNE, UNBOUND PARTICLES OF RESPIRABLE SIZE [= 10 MICROMETERS]), CHROMIUM (HEXAVALENT COMPOUNDS), COBALT METAL POWDER, METHANOL and NICKEL (METALLIC) which is [are] known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Overview
PR-2200 Class B is an electrically conductive rapid cure, corrosion inhibitive sealant. The cured sealant provides excellent electrical conductivity and EMI/RFI shielding effectiveness. This material acts as an barrier against the common causes of corrosion on aluminum alloys or between dissimilar metals. The cured sealant is resistant to exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gas. PR-2200 Class B is two-part, nickel filled, epoxy cured, Permapol® P-3.1 polythioether compound. The uncured material is a low sag thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. This sealant has excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates when correctly primed with PR-182 adhesion promoter.
Features & Benefits
Corrosion resistance with no significant change in conductivity after 2000 hours of salt spray exposure
