Overview

PPG PRC-Desoto® 654 Series fuel tank sealant is a two-component formulation such as part-A and part-B. Part-A of sealant comes in a liquid form and is purple in color. Part-B of sealant comes in a solid form and is white in color. Part-B of sealant possesses a boiling point greater than 37.78 degrees C. The part-A and part-B has VOC contents of 42 grams per liter and 57 grams per liter, for quick drying. The part-A and part-B of sealant has a density of 11.18 pounds per gallon and 11.85 pounds per gallon respectively. Part-A of sealant has a kinematic viscosity greater than 0.21 square centimeters per second at 40 degrees C. Service temperature range of this tank sealant is -62 to 160 degrees C. It takes 1-1/2 hours for complete curing and withstands high tensile of 350 psi. This sealant can be cured at very low temperatures and is unaffected by surrounding humidity. It comes in a 6-ounce cartridge.
