Overview
FlyBoys PIVOT Power USB-C Charger is designed to keep Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) and other approved devices charged during long flights, preventing battery depletion and ensuring continuous operation. Unlike standard 115VAC/400Hz outlets, this charger draws power directly from the aircraft’s 28VDC bus, significantly reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and maintaining compliance with DO-160, Section 21, Category H requirements for flight deck use. The internal high-efficiency DC-DC converter delivers over 10 watts of stable charging power with overload and short-circuit protection. Each channel is safeguarded by supply-side thermal fuses and load-side fuses, providing triple-layer protection for fail-safe operation before, during, and after USB power conversion. The charger features dual USB-C receptacles and a 12-36VDC NEMA 6-15R aircraft power receptacle, with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +55°C. Installation and removal are quick and easy with a straight engage design.
