The MS27215-2 dehydrator plug fits 18 mm spark plug holes in aircraft piston engines and contains MIL-D-3716 desiccant to prevent moisture and corrosion during storage.
The MS27215-2 Dehydrator Plug is designed to protect aircraft piston engines from moisture damage during periods of inactivity. It screws directly into 18 mm spark plug holes and contains MIL-D-3716 desiccant that absorbs humidity, preventing rust and corrosion. The plug is reusable and refillable—simply unscrew to replace the desiccant. Color-changing silica gel turns from blue to pink when saturated, providing a clear visual indicator. For enhanced protection, consider using the MS20003 moisture indicator card, which signals high humidity levels inside the engine.
