Overview
The NI70 is an airborne, air-transport, regional, DME, ATC, DC open circuit, navigation antenna. The NI70 L-band antennas offer more than enough bandwidth (950 to 1220 MHz) for use with civil aviation air traffic control (ATC) transponders and distance measuring equipment (DME). The antenna provides omnidirectional, vertically polarized coverage when installed on the top or bottom of an aircraft. Its streamlined shape assures minimum aerodynamic drag. Structurally, the antenna consists of a single metal element.
