Overview
Biobor®JF is the original, industry‑standard microbicide developed in 1965 to combat hydrocarbon‑utilizing micro‑organisms in jet and avgas fuels. It uses dual‑phase chemistry to partition into both water and fuel, delivering thorough eradication of bacteria, fungi and yeasts. Used as a curative for contaminated systems or preventatively in clean systems, it prevents biomass buildup, filter plugging and microbial influenced corrosion. The additive also increases fuel lubricity, helping reduce wear on fuel delivery components. Biobor®JF is compatible with common fuels and system materials, is safer and less corrosive than many alternatives, and is widely recommended in manufacturer maintenance guidance worldwide.
