Chemetall Ardrox® water-displacing corrosion inhibitor is a long-term inhibitor that forms a heavy duty, waxy firm film that easily penetrates to areas exposed to severe corrosion conditions. This liquid inhibitor is light brown in color and comes in a 5-gallon container. Ardrox® AV 8 can be used in all areas of the airframe. In areas exposed to severe corrosion conditions over-coating with the heavy-duty compound Ardrox® AV 100D is required. AV8-13-50Z inhibitor has a coverage capacity of 44 square meters per liter. It has a boiling temperature rating of greater than 140 degrees C. The solvent corrosion inhibitor has a TCC flash point of 41 degrees C, making it safe for use. It can be stored at temperature range of -20 to 38° degrees C. APPLICATION Ardrox® AV8 can be applied by dipping, brushing or spraying For maximum penetration capability and the most effective corrosion inhibiting performance, spray application is recommended Ardrox® AV8 can be sprayed using either the specifically designed ACS-System (airmix application equipment) or the AAS-System (airless application equipment) The coating should be applied at 20 to 40 µm / 0,8 - 1,6 mils wet thickness
