Overview
Henkel Loctite® Hysol® EA 9396 epoxy adhesive has two-components like blue colored paste part-A and orange red colored liquid part-B, which should be mixed in 100:30 ratio. The ammoniacal odored part-B has a boiling point of 644 degrees F. Part-A/B of adhesive has a flash point greater than 93 degrees C. The mild part-A has a specification gravity of 0.98 and part-B has a specification gravity of 1. Part-A of this adhesive has a vapor density greater than 1 and part-B has a vapor density of 8.6. Part-B of this adhesive comes with a vapor pressure rating less than 0.1 millimeters Hg at 68 degrees F. The adhesive's part-A has a viscosity of 400 to 1400 poise at 77 degrees F and part-B has a viscosity of 0.7 to 1.1 poise at 77 degrees F. This adhesive having less than 10 grams per liter contents evaporates quickly. The neutral pH level of this adhesive avoids surface finish deterioration. It takes 3 to 5 days for curing at 77 degrees F and requires 24 hours at 77 degrees F for application. This epoxy formula withstands a tensile strength of 8000 psi at 77 degrees F, peeling strength of 25 pounds per inches at 77 degrees F and a shear strength of 3500 psi at 77 degrees F for 5 days cure. This product comes in a 1-quart can.
