Overview

Enersys 9750E0654 is 24V valve regulated lead acid battery. The Hawker® battery is a type of valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) system that utilizes absorbed glass mat (AGM) to retain the electrolyte. Its design ensures minimal gas evolution during normal operation, making it suitable for use on aircraft, even during aerobatic maneuvers. This battery is maintenance-free when it comes to electrolyte replenishment. Part number 9750E0654 has two 12-volt valve regulated monoblocs connected in series. These monoblocs are enclosed in a polyester bonded fiberglass case, which includes the battery's main terminal connector. The monobloc design is based on a Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) system, which is valve regulated and uses lead acid. Each 12-volt monobloc is made up of six 2-volt cells that are internally connected in series to create a 12-volt block. It's important to note that the individual 2-volt cells cannot be replaced. The cells within the monoblocs are interconnected through weld connections in the partition wall. These cells are manufactured using a proprietary VRLA AGM technology that enables them to deliver high-performance engine start capability, exceeding 50C 1 amps at normal temperature. Additionally, they exhibit excellent durability under emergency load conditions. To enhance the battery's resilience to vibration, thin fiberglass separators are placed between the positive and negative plates. The tightly packed plates and separator create a compressed and rugged construction.
