Overview

Nycote® 88 Clear is a two-component transparent nylon epoxy crosslinked polymer coating supplied as part number 88CLRQT. Nycote 88 is formulated for corrosion protection, electrical insulation and friction reduction on substrates exposed to fuels, oils, lubricants and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids (Skydrol®). The quart kit mixes to provide a three-hour working window and produces a self-leveling film (0.4 mil / 12 µ per coat) that offers impact and abrasion resistance while remaining flexible across a wide temperature range.

Features & Benefits

  • Liquid nylon formulation for uniform coverage
  • Self-leveling film technology provides consistent, thin-film corrosion protection
  • Resists aircraft fuels, oils, lubricants, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids and salt spray
  • Excellent impact and abrasion resistance with flexibility and toughness
  • Prevents microbial proliferation in susceptible environments
  • Versatile application: brush, spray, dip, or roll-on methods
  • Reusable over shelf life and removable via force cure parameters
