Overview
Henkel Loctite® Hysol® 1C-LV Series epoxy adhesive is a high-temperature adhesive, which provides excellent gap filling. It is a composition of two-components including resin and hardener. The off-white colored liquid resin has a mild odor whereas tan-to-light green liquid hardener has an ammoniacal like odor. Both the resin and hardener has a boiling point greater than 500 degrees F and 404.1 degrees F. The flash point of resin and hardener is greater than 199.4 degrees F and 215.06 degrees F respectively. Vapor density of this hardener is 3.5. The resin has a viscosity of 62,000 to 102,000 centipoises while hardener has 20,000 to 52,500 centipoises. Storage temperature of this adhesive ranges from 46 to 70 degrees F. It requires an application time of 20 minutes and takes 3 days for complete curing. The adhesive has a tensile strength of 2800 psi and a shear strength of 2100 psi. This product comes in a 50-milliliter dual cartridge and allows an elongation of 0.035.
