Overview
Tempest 82-501222A6TK is wear indicator toolkit for air pump. The patented WIP™ (Wear Indicator Port) allows for internal observation of the pump’s vanes. The WIP™ helps determine if the pump should be replaced and avoid unscheduled maintenance due to a pump exceeding its life cycle. Removal of the plug allows visual inspection to determine vane length. The end of the vane closest to the center of the pump is observed through the small hole in the port. When less than half of the hole is covered by the vane it is time to replace the pump. It is recommended that the first observation be accomplished at 600 hours of service. Subsequent checks should be made each 100 hours or as necessary based upon wear rate. The Toolkit includes • 3 Star Lock washers • 3 Hole Plugs • 1 Wear Indicator Plug
