Overview
Royco 756A the Red oil is a super clean, highly refined mineral oil based, hydraulic fluid for operation over wide temperature ranges. MIL-H-5606A - ROYCO 756A is made to the latest spec, but is sold in the traditional "square" resealable can, which means the fluid cannot be certified to the latest spec. This can is very popular among light general aviation operators who don't require the latest spec. It is recommended to verify aircraft requirements and use MIL-PRF-5606H fluid (756-1GL) where revisions later than "A" are called for. Also, QPL-5606-31. ROYCO 756A may be used in systems not requiring a “super clean” id and where the convenience of a resealable container can provide cost savings.
