Overview

Bonderite® M-CR 1200S Aero, also known as Alodine 1200S, is a brown, powdered conversion coating chemical formulated for aluminum and its alloys. Part number 598427 is designed to create a protective iridescent golden to tan coating that minimizes corrosion and improves bonding for paint. Applied by immersion, spray, or brush, this product is listed on QPL-81706 and approved for producing Class 1A and Class 3 coatings in accordance with MIL-DTL-5541. It is typically used in multi-stage surface treatment processes and performs optimally when preceded by proper cleaning or etching steps.
