Overview

See Goodrich Service Bulletin 3-1537-32-3 for effectivity. Thermal relief plug assembly 542-6 contains a new thermal relief plug, (49-410) and o-ring (68-1606). The differences between the old and new plug is the new one is not magnetic and has an X after the date code and on the end of the plug assembly. Per Goodrich Service Bulletin 3-1590-32-7, part number 542-6 is not interchangeable with the thermal relief plug assembly, P/N 49-330. A mixture of these two assemblies in a wheel is not recommended.
