Overview

Engineered with decreased density, Naftoseal MC-780 Class C is an ideal choice for creating superior seals in fuel tanks and fuselages. It is specifically crafted for interfay surface sealing and wet riveting of fuselage components. The formulation blends low viscosity for effortless mixing with high thixotropy for excellent application properties. Its low viscosity enables easy extrusion from interfacing surfaces during assembly, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
This sealant has outstanding resistance to aviation gasoline and jet fuel, as well as to the chemicals and petroleum products used in the aircraft industry. It is developed for a service temperature range between -55 °C (-67 °F) to +130 °C (+266 °F) and can withstand short-term temperatures of up to +182 °C (+360 °F).
Naftoseal MC-780 Class C maintains its flexibility and bond strength on most metal substrates, including aluminum, stainless steel, steel, titanium, composites, and many coatings, even under extremes of temperature, weathering, and stress. The product can be effectively applied by extrusion, injection gun, or roller coating technique, and it features a unique self-filleting characteristic. The curing time may be significantly reduced by increasing the temperature (up to 60 °C or 140 °F max). To ensure good adhesion, clean surfaces with appropriate cleaners to remove dirt, grease, and processing oils just prior to sealant application.
