Overview
Royco® 483 is typically used as a preservation grade oil for turbojet engines or engine parts and accessories during moderate outdoor to long-term indoor storage periods. While it can also be used as a flyaway oil, the operation of engines preserved with Royco® 483 should be limited. To preserve the engine, it should be filled to normal capacity with Royco 483 and then run at idle until it reaches normal operating temperature (approximately 10-15 minutes). Upon shutdown, the internal surfaces of the engine are protected from rust and corrosion.
