Overview
Exxon Mobil Mobilgear™ 600 XP-68 Series extra high-performance gear oil is amber in color and ensures better protection of gear teeth as well as other machine elements thereby minimizing equipment wear and breakdown. The liquid oil has a characteristic odor and comes in a 38-pound container. It has a flash point of 230 degrees C, boiling point greater than 316 degrees C and pouring point of 5 degrees F. The gear oil has a specific gravity of 0.88 at 15 degrees C. It has a viscosity of 68 square millimeters per second at 40 degrees C and 8.8 square millimeters per second at 100 degrees C. It offers better resistance to oil oxidation and thermal degradation prolonging life with lower lubricant and lubrication costs. This gear oil provides better protection of machine parts while reducing maintenance and repair costs. It operates at a bulk oil temperature of up to 100 degrees C. This product is specially designed to protect gear teeth from wear at its earliest stages.
