The Ontic Engineering® Altitude Clearance Memory Device 310-4 features a newly designed memory wheel that enhances reliability and reduces the risk of smoke release. It incorporates insulated power input terminals and a high viscosity potting material, making it a recommended replacement for earlier models 310-1, 310-2, and 310-3.
Ontic Memory Wheel The Ontic memory wheel has been newly designed with increased reliability to help prevent smoke release. The new design insulates the power input terminals using a mylar film fitted at the interior base of the unit, while potting the bottom area with a high viscosity potting material. Boeing recommends operators replace the existing (310-1, 310-2 and 310-3) memory wheels with P/N 310-4 to improve reliability and help prevent smoke release. See Boeing Service Letter 737-SL-33-073
