Overview
Ultragel® II (Part No. 25-012) is a high-performance, transparent ultrasonic couplant gel formulated to provide reliable acoustic coupling between transducers and test materials. The thixotropic, medium-viscosity gel fills depressions on rough surfaces, offers excellent surface wetting and transducer lubrication, and remains in place on vertical or overhead surfaces. Ultragel II provides corrosion protection, slow drying for extended inspection time, and meets low halogen and sulfur criteria for nuclear-grade applications.
