Overview
The blades in turbines undergo heavy vibrations as they are subjected to aerodynamic forces and flow disturbances, which can weaken their performance. Part number 1957M35P05: The damper assembly for stage 2 GE Turbofan engines works on a damping mechanism loaded by centrifugal force against the underside of the platforms of two adjacent blades. Whenever the blade vibrates, the damper absorbs the vibration, reducing the intensity and magnitude of the vibration, which helps the gas turbine maintain its integrity as a whole and ensures no deviation in performance due to vibrations.
Features & Benefits
Effectively manages and reduces vibrations in the turbine section.
Absorbs vibration intensity to enhance turbine performance.
Helps maintain the integrity of the gas turbine engine.
Ensures consistent performance without deviation due to vibrations.
