Overview
3M™ 021200-19668 Scotch-Weld™ Fuel Resistant Coating EC-776 is a solvent-based, elastomer coating designed to protect aircraft components from damage caused by aviation fuel and oils. It provides strong adhesion to synthetic rubber, metal, glass, and many plastics while maintaining flexibility across a wide temperature range. This coating is ideal for areas adjacent to refuel/defuel fittings, fuel dump valves, drain ports, access panels, and fuel tank vents. It can also be applied inside aluminum or steel fuel tanks using the fill-and-drain method to reduce erosion of top coatings and prevent clogging of engine fuel filters. EC-776 helps minimize maintenance costs and downtime by resisting aromatic fuels and offering excellent low-temperature flexibility.
