Overview
3M™ 021200-16160 PTFE Glass Cloth Tape 5453 is a premium performance tape featuring a brown woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive. This combination delivers a slick, non-stick surface with an extremely low coefficient of friction, ideal for heat sealing, packaging, and composite bonding applications. The reinforced glass cloth backing offers superior tensile strength and resistance to tears and punctures, while the silicone adhesive ensures high-temperature performance and long aging. With excellent chemical resistance and very low moisture absorption, this tape performs reliably across a wide temperature range from -100°F (-73°C) to 500°F (260°C), making it suitable for aerospace, automotive, electronics, and industrial environments.
