What are the advantages and disadvantages of nickel-cadmium batteries?

There are several advantages to using a nickel-cadmium battery. NiCad batteries have a longer life cycle than their lead-acid counterparts. They’re also dependable and work well in harsh conditions. In contrast, NiCad aircraft batteries are known for having a marked negative temperature coefficient, which means their electrical resistance decreases as their temperature rises.
