How to use electrical tape?
When applying electrical tapes, wrap the previous layer with half of the next layer, resulting in a double layer. It’s recommended to do two layers of this half-lapped wrap or one and a half times the thickness of the wiring you’re wrapping, whichever makes a thicker layer of insulation.
