Frequently Asked Questions
How to clean an aircraft windshield?
To properly clean an aircraft windshield, use a soft, lint-free cloth, like a microfiber towel. Use an aircraft windshield cleaner because other chemicals may be too harsh for the surface. Apply the cleaner to the surface, then wipe back and forth with the direction of airflow across the windshield to prevent scratches and glare. Once the windshield is clean, use a second towel to dry it using the same back-and-forth motion. Take care not to rub back and forth too much, as this can damage the windshield and create heat from friction that will soften the surface.
