Overview
Tectyl™ 846 is a solvent cutback, wax base, general-purpose, corrosion preventive compound. Tectyl™ 846 meets the performance requirements of Military Specification MIL-C-16173D, Grade 4 and is excellent for long-term protection of metallic surfaces against corrosion in either indoor or outdoor exposure and during domestic and international shipments, like machinery, machine rolls/tools, automatic parts, dies, tubing and spare parts. Tectyl™ 846 cures to a dark amber colored, waxy, translucent, firm film.
